Microscopy for NKBKA in MU Sat Oct 28th 2023

Our microscopy event is scheduled for Sat Oct 28th in Maynooth University.  No experience is required.

Time:  10am.       Location:  Callan Building, North Campus, Maynooth University.  Access via the Kilcock Road entrance and use Car Park 1.

Duration:  Maximum of 4 hours.

You will have the opportunity to:

• View Bees through dissection and compound microscopes.   (You can bring your own frozen bees, approx 30)
• Look for Varoa using a dissection microscope.
• Look for varimorph (nosema) through a compound microscope.
• See a demonstration on the preparation of pollen slides.
• View pollen through a compound microscope.
